Mrs. Agnes White Love of 2503 Courtney avenue, who distinguished herself in many 
fields, is dead at age 79.

She died suddenly at her home Nov. 13.

Funeral services were held Nov. 19 at high noon from Second Calvary Baptist 
church with the pastor, the Rev. H. W. B. Walker officiating.  Burial was in 
Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The daughter of Josiah and Mrs. Nancy Owens White and a native of Lawrenceville, 
Mrs. Love had been in Norfolk 70 years.

She was a retired beautician and operated a shop for more than 10 years on E. 
Brambleton avenue.  She also was associated with the Fashionette Beauty Shop at 
818 E. Brambleton avenue.

She was an honorary member of the National Beauticians association, vice 
president of the Virginia State Gardens Clubs, a member of the Federated Garden 
Clubs of Norfolk and vicinity, the Natonal Community League, the National Ideal 
Benefit Society, the Crape Myrtle Garden club, the Fannie Cypress Missionary 
Circle and the Barraud Park Neighborhood club.

She was a charter member of Second Calvary Baptist Church, where she served as a 
deaconess, member of the Senior missionaries and a BTU advisor.

Surviving are her husband, William Edward Love Sr.;  one daughter, Mrs. Leola C. 
Clark;  two sons, William Edward Love Jr., and James O. Clark and one godchild, 
Miss Dianne Claiborne, all of Norfolk.
