Norfolk Virginian March14, 1877

On Tuesday, 13th inst. of a paralytic stroke, GEO. W. LOVELY, at his residence 
No. 81 Main Street, in his 51st year.
The funeral will take place THIS AFTERNOON, at 3 o'clock. Friends and 
acquaintances are invited to attend without further notice.

                    Funeral of George W. Lovely, Esq.
The funeral of the late George W. Lovely, Esq., took place yesterday, at his 
residence on Main Street and was largely attended by the friends and 
acquaintances of the deceased.
The Rev. W.H. Christian, of the Cumberland Street Methodist Church, conducted 
the funeral services and the following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Daniel 
Knowles, Michael Sullivan, Jacob Mowle, Frank Wood, John Capps and Wm. Bustic.  
The remains were conveyed to Elmwood Cemetery and there interred.
