Lovette, and daughter of the late Andrew J. and Ann Louisa Hughes Manning, died at a local hospital yesterday at 6:45 p.m. Mrs. Lovette was a native of Portsmouth and a resident of Norfolk for the past 60 years. Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. H. N. Spinken and Mrs. V. H. Lachman, both of Norfolk; a son, Charles O. Lovette, of Norfolk; four grandchildren, the Misses Grace and Verdie Spinken, of Norfolk; Miss Elma Lovette, of Berkeley, Calif, and John L. Butt, of Richmond, three sisters, Mrs. J. S. Wilkins, of Norfolk; Mrs. Lulie Rhea of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Gertrude Butt, of California, and a number of nieces and nephews. The body was removed to H. D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason street, pending funeral arrangements. Mrs. Irene Oswald Lovette - Funeral services for Mrs. Lovette, widow of Charles C. Lovette, whose death occurred Monday evening at a local hospital, will be held at H. D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason street, Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
