Norfolk Virginian Pilot October 19, 1948
Mrs. Ella D. Lowe, 77, died yesterday at 8 a.m. in a Portsmouth hospital.  A 
native of Gates, N.C., she had lived in this section a number of years.
She was the daughter of the late James and Mrs. Mary Taylor Duke and widow of W.T. 
Lowe.
Surviving are two sons, Robert W. Lowe, of Richmond and Marvin D. Lowe, of Norfolk 
and one daughter, Mrs. George L. Wonycott, of Portsmouth; six grandchildren and 
five great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Lowe was a member of the Ocean View Baptist 
Church.
Funeral services will be held at the grave at Magnolia Cemetery today at 4 p.m.
