He was born in Tunis, Hertford, N.C., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Lowe, and had been a well known resident of this section for the past 45 years. He is survived by two sons, Walter Lowe, of South Norfolk, and Joseph A. Lowe, of Norfolk; two brothers, Robert Lowe, of Raleigh, N.C., and G.W. Lowe, of Winton, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. J.T. Pierce, of Wallace, N.C. and Mrs. Eva Futrell, of Winton, N.C. and three grandchildren. Mr. Lowe was a member of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church and of the following fraternal orders: Chesapeake Tribe No. 5, I.O.R.M.; Tidewater Council, J.O.U.A.M.; Middleton Lodge No. 145, I.O.O.P. and Goodwill Council No. 5, D. of A. The body was taken to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox, 124 East Berkley Avenue. Funeral services will be conducted at the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in the family plot in Magnolia Cemetery.
