The Virginian-Pilot, Tuesday, January 2, 1962

NORFOLK - Mrs. Josephine Lowe, 61, of 1608 Colon Ave. died Sunday morning in a 
Norfolk hospital after a short illness.

A native of Wheeling, W.Va., she was a daughter of Mrs. Fannie Whitfield and 
lived in Norfolk 14 years. She was a member of Second Calvary Baptist Church, 
where she served on the usher board.

Surviving are her husband, Henry H. Lowe; and a son, James Williams of Norfolk.

The body was taken to Morning Glory Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 
in Second Calvary Baptist Church, Friday at noon by the Rev. H.W.B. Walker, 
pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
