She was well known and greatly esteemed. She was a native of Virginia, and had lived in Norfolk a number of years. Surviving her are her husband; two sons, Joseph F. Battley of the 115th Ambulance Company , U.S.A., Camp McClennan, Anniston, Ala., and Halsom R. Battley of Norfolk; her mother Mrs. Victoria Sadler of Norfolk; two brothers, John W. Sadler and William E. Sadler, both of Norfolk, and a sister, Mrs. Fred A. D'Alton of Petersburg. The funeral will take place Saturday at noon at the residence, and will be conducted by Rev. A. G. Head of Christ Episcopal Church. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
