Virginia Josephine Scellato Lowe, 85, of the 8700 block of Semmes Ave., died Nov. 
5, 1999, in her home.

Mrs. Lowe was a native of Norfolk and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church 
in Norfolk.

Survivors include her husband, Mills Fletcher Lowe; a daughter, Betty Pietsch, of 
Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; two sons, John Parker Tynes of Virginia Beach and Thomas 
Lee Tynes of Casselberry, Fla.; two sisters, Fannie Sword of Escondido, Calif., 
and Mary Georgiades of Sarasota, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Martha Friek of Norfolk; 
seven grandchildren, Arlene, Lisa, John Jr., Tiffany, Sean, Jennifer and Daniel; 
and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., 
Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Frias. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic 
Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
