Mills Fletcher Lowe, 85, of the 1600 block of Old Donation Pkwy., a retired 
Naval base police officer, died May 12, 2002, in Virginia Beach. Mr. Lowe 
retired after 30 years of service. He also served in the U.S. Army during World 
War II.
Mr. Lowe was born in Eure, N.C., and he was the widower of Virginia Scellato 
Lowe.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Pietsch of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; two sons, 
John Parker Tynes of Virginia Beach and Thomas Lee Tynes of Casselberry, Fla.; a 
sister, Martha Frieh of Norfolk; and seven grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic 
Cemetery. Family will receive friends at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk 
Chapel, Thursday from noon to 2 p.m.
