LOWENBERG DEAD Well Known Woman, Beloved by Innumerable Friends, Generous to a Fault, and Prominent in Church Work, Passes Into Great Beyond The death of Mrs. Cecilia Lowenberg, wife of Mr. D. Lowenberg, at the residence of her husband on East Main Street yesterday morning, will be received with feelings of painful surprise by her numerous friends and acquaintances in this city. Monday morning Mrs. Lowenberg was on the street in apparent good health. When she returned home that day she complained of being sick and was compelled to retire to her room in the afternoon, where she continued to grow worse until relieved of her sufferings by death yesterday. The deceased had always led a very active life and will be greatly missed in the community. She was charitable to a fault and her many deeds of kindness to the poor will long linger with those who have felt the hand of her benevolence. She was prominent member of the Ohef Sholom Temple and was always ready to promote its highest and best interests. Mrs. Lowenberg was the sister of Mrs. Virginia Lowenberg, Mr. Jacob Hecht, Mrs. Eliza Jacobs and Mr. S. Hecht. She was the mother of Messrs. Jacob B. Lowenberg, Harry Lee Lowenberg and Mrs. A.E. Camp. The funeral will be announced later.
