The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Sunday February 18, 1934
Mrs. Ellen E. Ludy, aged 73, widow of Henry C. Ludy, died yesterday morning 
at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. B.A. Leigh, 1310 West Twenty-seventh 
street.  She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mrs. Elizabeth 
Shade, a native of Carrothers County, O., and a resident of Norfolk for the 
past 46 years.  Surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. Leigh; a brother, 
William Shade, of Siam, O., and three grandchildren, Aurelia, Hazel and Ben 
A. Leigh, Jr.  The body will be taken from the funeral home of James V. 
Derry, 346 West Princess Anne road, to the Leighs residence.  Funeral 
services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the 
Westminster Presbyterian Church, the Rev. W.W. Grover officiating.  Burial 
will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
