Ludy, aged 58 years, died yesterday at his home, 1314 West 27th Street, after a lingering illness. A native of Ohio, he had lived in Norfolk about 25 years, and was widely known and greatly esteemed. He was a member of Zion M.E. Church, Norfolk Lodge, No. 1, A.F. & A.M.; Norfolk Lodge, No. 32, I.O.O.F.; Wyandotte Tribe of Red Men; Lodge 6, Maccabees and the Relief Association of Virginia Railway & Power Company. He is survived by a wife and one daughter, Mrs. B.A. Leigh of Norfolk; two grandchildren, also of Norfolk; five sisters, Mrs. Pauline Leonhart of Graham, Va.; Mrs. C.W. Smith of Bucyrus, Ohio; Mrs. E.A. Eberly of Enid, Okla.; Mrs. Malinda Flexser of Corrothers, Ohio and Mrs. Henry Scheerer, also of Corrothers; two brothers, Rev. B.F. Ludy, Oklahoma City and S.J. Ludy of Norfolk. The funeral will take place at Zion M.E. Church, Lamberts Point, Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and will be conducted by the pastor, Rev. G.T Forrester and Rev. J.A. McKaughan.
