Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 11, 1948

Michael Dominic ("Frenchy") Luggerio, 39, husband of Mrs. Violet Arthur Luggerio 
and son of Michael A. and Mrs. Elizabeth Monica Luggerio, died Tuesday at 8:30 
a.m. at a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Luggerio, retired chief commissary steward of the United States Navy, was a 
native of Hempstead, Long Island, N.Y. and had been a resident of Norfolk for 
the past three and a half years, residing at 672 First View Street, Ocean View, 
at the time of his death.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by one son, Sherwood Arthur 
Luggerio, of Norfolk. The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View, for services Thursday at 
10 a.m. Rosary services will be held at the Oliver Funeral Apartments tonight at 
7:30 o'clock.

Michael Dominic Luggerio - The body of Mr. Luggerio, who died Tuesday, will be 
taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 
Ocean View for funeral services today at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
