NORFOLK - Mrs. Sophie L. Lutfy, of 2958 Lens Ave., the widow of Frank Lutfy and 
daughter of Michael and Mrs. Zahiya Lutfy, died in her home Saturday morning.
A native of Damascus, Syria, she lived in Norfolk 75 years.
She was a member of Rock Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Manby and Mrs. Doris Sitterson of 
Chesapeake; a son, Phillip Lutfy of Paterson, N.J.; a brother, Charles Lutfy, of 
New York and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Noona of Virginia Beach, Mrs. Victoria 
Betor of Norfolk, and Mrs. Angela Joynes of Virginia Beach.
A funeral service will be held in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Monday at 10 a.m. 
by the Rev. John Gimenez of Rock Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to a favorite charity.
The family will be at 1200 Shillelagh Road, Chesapeake.
