Luton, and daughter of the late Robert and Lydia Carnel, at her home, No. 551 Granby street, Thursday evening at 7:55 o'clock, will be recieved with expressions of profound sorrow by her many friends and acquaintances here and elsewhere. The deceased was in the 57th year of her age, and was a woman of most loveable character and sympathetic nature, every ready to administer to those in need, and it may truly be said of her a good woman has passed to her reward. She is survived by her husband and five children, one son and four daughters, Mr. James E. Luton, Mrs. H. Shumadine, Mrs. J. Roberts, Mrs. J. Graham and Miss Lena Luton. The funeral will be held from the residence at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon, and will be conducted by Rev. R.M. Chandler, of Centenary M.E. Church, assisted by Rev. E.H. Rawlings, of Monumental Church, Portsmouth. The remains will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
