Luton, at Charleston, S.C. He was a former resident of this city, leaving here eighteen months ago. The funeral services and the interment will be held in Norfolk. The body will be taken directly from the train to the funeral apartments of H.C. Smith, on Bank Street. Mr. Luton was thought a great deal of in Norfolk and was at one time connected with the Norfolk Warehouse Corporation, Atlantic City. He was about 60 years old. The remains arrived yesterday (Monday) morning, April 27, via Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. The funeral will take place TUESDAY, April 28, at 3 o'clock, from the residence of his father-in-law, James E. Titmus, 107 E. High Street. Friends of the family invited to attend. Luton, who died suddenly in Charleston, S.C., will be held at the residence of his father-in-law, James E. Titmus, 107 East High Street, at 3 o'clock this afternoon and interment will be had in Elmwood Cemetery by the side of his first wife. Mr. Luton was found dead by his wife and son James, at 5 o'clock in the morning. He was 70 years old and had been twice married, his first wife, Mrs. Sarah Luton, having died 14 years ago. Eleven years ago he married Miss Titmus, who survives him with two children. His children by the first wife are James E. Luton of Charleston, S.C.; Mrs. Richard Leonardson of New York City and Mrs. William B. Ryan of Norfolk. For many years Mr. Luton was connected with the Norfolk Warehouse Corporation. He left Norfolk last September to go to his son in Charleston. He was a member of Harmony Lodge, I.O.O.F. and this organization will attend the funeral in a body.
