Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark  February 26, 1913

Miss Sophie Belle Lyons, sister of S.W. Lyons, treasurer of Norfolk County, died 
at the Sarah Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, at 1:30 a.m. yesterday after a protracted 
illness.
Miss Lyons was a native of Portsmouth, but moved with her parents, the late Mr. 
and Mrs. William H. Lyons to Berkley where she lived until two years ago when 
she returned to Norfolk and has since resided with her brother at 518 Fairfax 
Avenue, Ghent.  She leaves many friends here and in Berkley, who will learn with 
sorrow of her demise.
Besides her brother, S.W. Lyons, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Charles H. 
Williams, of 122 Main Street, Berkley.
The funeral will be held at the residence Thursday at 3:30 p.m.  Interment will 
be in the family lot, Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley.
