Norfolk Journal and Guide, Feb. 24, 1923
Mrs. Rebecca Mackey, an old and highly respected citizen, passed away at the
home of her son Mr. David Mackey, Wednesday, February 14th at 1176 Sutton
street.  The funeral was held from Grace Episcopal Church, of which she had been
a faithful member for many years, Sunday at one-thirty and was largely attended.
 Rev. D. J. Lee spoke very feelingly over the remains of Mrs. Mackey.  The body
was laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.  She is survived by one daughter, one son,
several sisters and one grandson.
