Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark February 11,1920

Dr. Charles Richard MacKimmie died Tuesday morning at 11:45 o'clock at his 
residence, 41 Lafayette Boulevard. He had been ill at his home for some time. He 
was 53 years old, was born in Michigan state and has been a practicing physician 
in Norfolk for twenty-five years. He was prominently identified with fraternal 
orders in the state. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nellie Townsend MacKimmie; 
two daughters, Mrs. C. Lindwood Ford, of Norfolk and Mrs. E.B. Elliott, of 
Syracuse, N.Y.; his mother, Mrs. J.A. MacKimmie of Norfolk and a brother, Walter 
H. MacKimmie, of Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon 
at 2:30 o'clock at the residence by the Rev. W.H.T. Squires. Interment will be 
in Elmwood Cemetery.
