Mr. McLean was notified of his brother's death by telegram last night. **************************************************************** The remains of Archie McLean arrived here from Jamaica, N. Y., yesterday morning, accompanied by his brother, Donald. He died in New York Saturday, December 2, of pneumonia in the forty-third year of his age. The deceased was a native of Norfolk and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Archibald McLean, and had resided here the greater part of his life, having been a resident of New York a few years. He is survived by two sisters: Misses Florrie and Ida McLean, and two brothers, Donald and Norman McLean, all of Norfolk. The funeral will be held from the residence, No. 27 High Street, today. Virginian Pilot December 7, 1911 The funeral of Archie MacLean was held from the family residence, No. 27 High street, at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon and was largely attended. The service was conducted by Rev. W.H.T. Squires, of Knox Presbyterian Church. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. The pallbearers were: C.B. Carroll, Robert Walker, William Hill, B. McNally, John Purnell, Richard Llewellyn, Charles Harris and James Galvin.
