A native of Princess Anne County, he was a son of Edgar B. and Mrs. Virginia Cason Macon. He lived at 639 W. 29th St. He was a veteran of both the Spanish-American War and World War I. He wore the Cross of Military Service awarded by Pickett-Buchanan Chapter, United Daughters of Confederacy. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary Ferratt Macon; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Celeste Lowry of Elizabeth City, N.C.; three sons, Harry M. Macon of Oceana, J. Ferratt Macon and E. Carlton Macon, both of Norfolk; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Sunday at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
