Norfolk Ledger Dispatch November 15, 1909

The venerable Mrs. Hannah Madden, widow of Patrick Madden and mother of M.J. 
Madden, died at 4:45 o'clock this morning at the home of her son, No. 660 York 
Street, following a long illness. The deceased, a native of Ireland, had lived 
in Norfolk for 55 years. She was the sister of Martin Cashin and the late 
Michael Cashin. The deceased had reached the advanced age of 83 years.
The funeral will take place from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Wednesday 
morning at 10 o'clock.

MADDEN – At the residence of her son, M. J. Madden, No. 60 York street, Monday, 
November 15, 1909, at 4:45 o’clock a.m., HANNAH, widow of Patrick Madden, in the 
83d year of her age.
Funeral services at Sacred Heart Catholic Church TOMORROW (Wednesday) MORNING at 
10 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
