MADDEN, second son of Mrs. Ella Madden, aged 20 years. Notice of funeral hereafter. ****************************************************************************** MADDEN - Yesterday evening at 7 o'clock, WILLIAM MADDEN, son of Mrs. Ellen Madden, aged 20 years. Funeral SUNDAY AFTERNOON at 3:30 o'clock. The Norfolk Daily Landmark February 8, 1890 ************************************************************************** The funeral of Mr. Wm. Madden, who died at his residence on Chapel street Friday night last, took place from St. Mary’s Catholic Church Sunday morning and was very largely attended by relatives and other friends who had known Mr. Madden before his death. St. Mary’s Branch No. 1 of the Emerald Beneficial Association attended in a body. A requiem mass was said by Rev. Father W. Gaston Payne, assistant pastor of the church, and, at its conclusion, the remains were conveyed to St. Mary’s Cemetery and interred. The following gentleman acted as pallbearers: Messrs. E. C. Cheshire, Joseph C. Prince, C. H. Consolvo, O. M. Thomas, James Cashin, H. V. Butt, M. Rhea, John Fletcher.
