Michael G. Madden, aged 72 years, son of the late James and Ellen Ryan Madden, a 
native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, died at 7:25 o’clock yesterday morning at 
a local hospital. Mr. Madden was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, of the 
Knights of Columbus, and Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is 
survived by one sister, Miss Mary E. Madden, and two brothers, J. J. and F. V. 
Madden. Remains will be taken from H. D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, 610-612 East 
Freemason street to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for services tomorrow morning at 
10 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
