Virginian-Pilot June 1, 1953
Francis V. (Pansy) Madden, 68, son of James and Mrs. Ellen Ryan Madden, a 
lifelong resident of Norfolk, died at his residence, 8610 Hammett Avenue, 
Saturday at 11:25 p.m.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View, and of Norfolk 
Lodge No. 38, B. P. O. Elks.
He had no surviving relatives.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church, Ocean View, for services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in 
St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the funeral apartments 
today at 7:30 p.m.
