Norfolk - Mrs. Maggie S. Madison of 2925 Woodland avenue, who died in a local 
hospital Sunday, received final rites Thursday at Second Calvary Baptist Church, 
where she held membership.

The Rev. H. W. B. Walker officiated at the service.  Burial was in Calvary 
Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge.

A native of Southampton County, VA, Mrs. Madison was the daughter of the late 
Mrs. Martha McClenny, and the widow of the late Rev. C. P. Madison.

Besides holding membership in the Ministers Wives Alliance, she was a member of 
her church’s missionary society.

Surviving are three sons, Thomas H. Madison, of Binghampton, NY;  William R. 
Madison and Horace T. Madison , both of New York City;  five daughters, Miss 
Edna M. Madison, Mrs. Hortense M. Southall,  Mrs. Shelby M. Taylor, all of 
Norfolk;  Mrs. Beatrice M. Johnson and Mrs. Lucille B. Mays, both of New York 
City;  one brother, Ephraim P. McClenny, of New Jersey and 16 grandchildren.
