NORFOLK - James Maher, 71, died Tuesday at 5:45 p.m. at a Norfolk hospital after 
a long illness.
A native of Tipperary, Ireland, he had resided in Norfolk 20 years. He was a son 
of James and Mary Moremury Maher.
The body was taken to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.

NORFOLK - Funeral services for James Maher, who died Tuesday at a Norfolk 
hospital, were conducted at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Thursday at 12:30 p.m. by 
the Rev. Damian Abbaticcio. The Rev. John J. Bannon was present in the 
sanctuary. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
