VIRGINIA BEACH - Mary Margaret Mahon, 88, of 5040 School Road, a native of New 
York City, died Thursday in a hospital.
Ms. Mahon had retired from the civil service. She was a member of St. Pius X and 
St. Gregory the Great Catholic Churches.
Survivors include a brother, John S. Mahon Sr. of Virginia Beach, and several 
nieces and nephews.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Gregory 
the Great Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
The family will be at H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments in Norfolk from 7 to 8 p.m. 
today where a rosary service will be held at 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made 
to the American Heart Association.
