Malbon, Hardware Dealer, Dies NORFOLK - Philip J. Malbon, 68, Norfolk hardware merchant more than 50 years, died Sunday at 11:15 a.m. at his home on Little Neck road, Princess Anne County. He operated his business at 90 Commercial Pl., where it had been founded by his father, Philip James Malbon, under the name of P.J. Malbon & Son. His father died in 1928. His mother was Margaret Whitehurst Malbon. He attended Norfolk Academy and Staunton Military Academy and served in the Navy during World War I. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Daisy Evans Malbon; a daughter, Mrs. Alice Sautter Malbon Kellam of Princess Anne County, and three grandchildren, Richard B. Kellam Jr., Martha G. Kellam and Philip J. Kellam of Princess Anne County. A funeral service will be held in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Tuesday at noon with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
