Malbon, a native of Norfolk and until his retirement prominent in the grocery business here for many years, died at his residence, 1024 Highland avenue, at 9:30 o'clock yesterday morning. He was 71 years old. He was at one time a member of the grocery firm of Malbon & Turner. Mr. Malbon was an active member of the Brambleton Avenue Methodist Church. He is survived by a widow and two sons, J. Clyde Malbon and David O. Malbon; a daughter, Miss Emeline W. Malbon; a sister, Mrs. Albert Shipp, and two half brothers, W.C. Turner, of Norfolk and H.W Turner, of Princess Anne County and four grandchildren. The funeral services, which will be conducted by Rev. A.L. Franklin, will be held from the residence at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
