The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Friday August 13, 1937
Mrs. Alice Medora Malbon, aged 79, died yesterday morning at the residence of 
her son, Joseph Clyde Malbon, 523 Maryland avenue, at 9:55 o'clock.
Mrs. Malbon is survived by a daughter, Miss Emiline W. Malbon, and two sons, 
David O. and Joseph C. Malbon, all of Norfolk; a brother, Sidney W. Petty, of 
Princess Anne County, and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Malbon was a native of Princess Anne County; was the widow of Joseph C. 
Malbon and daughter of Joel and Mary Dudley Petty, and had resided in Norfolk 
45 years. She was a member of the Park Place Methodist Church. 
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
