The Virginian Pilot January 30, 1959


Norfolk-Mrs. Lillian Seldon Mallard, 73, of 1256 River Oak Dr., Landsdale, 
died Thursday at 12:07 p.m. at her residence after an illness of two years. 
She was a native of Norfolk County, and had lived in this section all of her 
life. She was the widow of George P. Mallard.
Surviving are two sons, William J. Sheldon of Norfolk; Sidney A. Sheldon of 
Princess Anne County; one brother, Frank B. Cartwright of Norfolk, one 
sister, Mrs. Nellie Stout, of Wilmington, Del.; four grandchildren. 
The body was taken to the Sykes Funeral Home, Berkley, where funeral 
services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. Place of burial will be 
announced later.
