Virginian-Pilot  January 3, 1938
Mrs. Mary Mulhaney Mallon, aged 69, wife of Bernard Francis Mallon, died at her 
residence on Philpotts road, Norfolk County, yesterday afternoon at 12:25 o’clock 
after a short illness. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. E. 
C. Becraft, and a son, Edward B. Mallon, both of Norfolk County. Mrs. Mallon was a 
native of Milwaukee, Wis., and had been a resident of Norfolk 20 years and was a 
member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
The body was taken to the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home pending funeral 
arrangements.
Members of Ava Maria Circle, Daughters of Isabella, will go to the Becraft home 
tonight, after their meeting in the Roma Club, to recite the Rosary for Mrs. 
Mallon. A delegation also will attend the funeral in a body.
