He was a native of Norfolk and had lived here all of his life, and was prominently identified with the development of West Ghent, a section over which he once farmed. Mr. Mallory was a son of the late William Francis and Mrs. Mary Dashiell Mallory. He is survived by his wife Maggie T. Mallory, three sons, William Douglas Mallory, James Dashiell Mallory, Jr. and John Kenneth Mallory; two daughters Mrs. Courtney N. Sprouse and Mrs. Dorothy N. Waller; one sister, Mrs. Annie Mallory Nimmo, and four grandchildren, all of Norfolk. The body was taken from the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne Road, to his late residence this afternoon. Funeral services will be conducted at the grave in Elmwood Cemetery tomorrow at 11 o’clock. The Rev W. H. Garman of the Zion Christian Church will officiate.
