Funeral services for Mrs. Martha J. Malone were held September 5, at the Bank 
Street Baptist Church. The Rev. DeWitt Proctor officiated. Mrs. Malone was a 
charter member of the Margaret Frances Chapter of the Order of the Eastern 
Star. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Laredo Rice, Mrs. Magdalene 
Moreland, and Miss Eva Malone, all of Norfolk; three grandchildren, three 
great grandchildren, and one sister. Burial was in West Point Cemetery.
