Virginian-Pilot  May 24 & 25, 1944
John Francis Malone, aged 68 years, a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and a resident 
of Norfolk for a number of years, died yesterday morning at 7:05 o’clock at a 
local hospital. He is survived by two sisters and two brothers. The body was 
removed to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments pending arrangements.

John Francis Malone - The body of Mr. Malone, who died Tuesday at a local 
hospital, will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Matthew’s 
Catholic Church for services this morning at 9 o’clock. Interment, St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
