Maloney died at 9:10 o’clock last night in King’s Daughters’ hospital, following a brief illness. Mr. Maloney was stricken with apoplexy at 11 o’clock yesterday morning, while in his home at 215 London street. He got up at 10 a.m. and was preparing for departure last night for New York, when he was taken suddenly ill. His condition became so serious that at 1 o’clock yesterday afternoon he was taken to the hospital, where he died. He was the son of Edward and the late Mrs. Johanna Maloney. Besides his father, he is also survived by a sister, Miss Mary Maloney. Mr. Maloney was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic congregation. The body was conveyed to his late residence. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. The funeral service of James W. Maloney, who died last Saturday night after a brief illness, will take place at 4 o’clock this afternoon, in his late residence, 215 London street. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s cemetery, Norfolk.
