Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, August 24, 1995 
Raleigh W. Manley, 89, of 1820 Ohio St., died Aug. 22, 1995.

He was born in Norfolk County and was a member of New Central Baptist Church,
Norfolk.

He is survived by his wife, Clentora M. Manley; three daughters, Thelma Young,
Joyce Bryant, and Carolyn Carrington, all of Chesapeake; seven sons, Raleigh
Manley Jr., Kareem Azeeze, Willie Manley, Alphonso Manley, Jerry Manley, Terry
Manley and Maurice Manley, all of Chesapeake; and stepson Luther Askew of
Chesapeake; 39 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and a host of
nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in New Central Baptist
Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Whitaker. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
Pretlow and Sons' Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is handling the arrangements.
