Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 4, 1938

Mrs. Susan Christine Mann, aged 63, of Ivy Street, Berkley, died last night at 9 
o'clock in a local hospital after a comparatively short illness. She was a 
native of Dare County, N.C. and had made her home here for 23 years. She was the 
daughter of the late C.C. and Zora Basnight Mann and is survived by one 
daughter, Mrs. Stewart Collins, Macon Ga.; two sons, C.C. and J.C. Ballance, of 
Berkley; four sisters, Mrs. C.C. Baum and Mrs. Daisy S. Armstrong, South 
Norfolk, Mrs. H.C. Roughton, Norfolk and Mrs. Easter Gard, Elizabeth City, N.C.; 
three brothers, L.W. and R.L. Mann, South Norfolk and A.L. Mann, of Bayonne, 
N.J. and one grandchild.
The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, 124 East Berkley Avenue, 
pending funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Susan Christine Mann - Funeral services for Mrs. Mann, of Ivy street, 
Berkley, who died Wednesday night, will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2 
o’clock at the Graham Funeral Home, 124 East Berkley avenue. Burial will be in 
St. Mary’s Cemetery.
