Mann, one of the oldest and best known residents of the ward, died early Sunday morning at her home 9 Elm Place, after an illness of several years. The deceased was a native of Long Island, N.Y., but had been a resident here for 23 years. She was 70 years old and is survived by several children, among whom are Mrs. William Kirby, Mrs. Barton Haigh, Frank and Garfield Mann. The deceased was a member of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church, from which the funeral was conducted yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The pastor, Rev. W.A. Smith, conducted the services and the interment was in Magnolia Cemetery. The pallbearers were: J.H. Jacocks, J.D. Gregory, Josie White, A.S. Jones, A.H. Gentes and W.L. Owens.
