A native of Middletown, N.C., he was the husband of Mrs. Annie L. Mann and a son of the late Allen and Mrs. Lizzie Mann. He was retired from St. Julien's Creek Naval Ammunition Depot. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church. Besides his widow, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Minerva Green of Los Angeles; two sisters, Mrs. Janie Morse of Norfolk and Mrs. Pearl Robinson of Spring Grove; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in New Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Milton A. Reid. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge.
