Norfolk - Hezekiah H. Mann of 1405 Virginia Beach boulevard, retired Coast Guard 
employee, died June 23 in his home after a long illness.  A funeral service was 
held Sunday in Union United Church of Christ and burial was in Calvary Cemetery 
with Hale Funeral Home in charge.  The Rev. J. M. Copeland officiated.

Mr. Mann was a native of New Bern, NC, and was the husband of Mrs. Julia Mann 
and a son of the late Josephus and Mrs. Leonora M. Williams.

Surviving, besides his widow, are a son,  Clarence Matthews of Norfolk;  five 
daughters, Mrs. Lenora Merritt of Oriental, NC, Mrs. Mary E. Amy of Philadelphia 
and Mrs. Claretta Alexander, Mrs. Otelia Hudson, and Mrs. Hattie M. Jones of 
Norfolk;  brother, Clarence Mann;  and others.
