Norfolk - Mrs. Julia Ann Mann, of 1405 East Virginia Beach Blvd., died Friday in
a hospital. A native of Snow Hill, NC, she was retired from the Norfolk city
school board. She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, and formerly
missionary mother-women’s fellowship.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Lenora M. Merritt of Oriental, NC, Mrs.
Mary E. Amey of Philadelphia, PA., Mrs. Claretta M. Alexander, Mrs. Otelia M.
Hudson, and Mrs. Hattie M. Jones, all of Norfolk; 12 grandchildren, and 23
great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Union United Church of
Christ, by the Rev. J. N. Copeland. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Riddick
Funeral Service is in charge. The body will be in the church Thursday, at 11 a.m.
