She had been a great sufferer for years with that dread disease, consumption, and all that medical skill could do was done, but of no avail, and her spirit passed to the God who gave it. She was sweet and lovely in disposition, an exemplary Christian, a devoted wife, a fond and loving mother and a true and faithful friend. "None knew her but to love her, None named her but to praise." Now that her earthly mission has closed she has gone to reap that precious reward which the Saviour has promised to his faithful ones. She was a consistent member of the Episcopal Church. In her last moments she talked beautifully to her loved ones around her and begged them to be ready when it pleased God to call them to meet her in heaven. She leaves a husband and four children with whom we deeply sympathize in their great sorrow. She has left an aching void which no one can fill. Thus has passed away one of earth's choicest flowers.
