The Norfolk Virginian, November 25, 1896

The funeral for E.L.C. Manning took place yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock from 
the residence, on East Main Street, Rev. E.H. Rawling formerly of Centenary, 
officiating. The remains were interred in Elmwood Cemetery, the following 
acting as pall-bearers: Messrs. R.T. Jones, J.A. Jenkins, E.V. Newton, R.B. 
Cornick, H.B. Bagnall, the last two represented Pocahontas Council, Royal 
Arcanum, of which the deceased was a member.
