His funeral was held at the First Baptist Church Sunday, Sept. 10, with the Rev. R. H. Bowling officiating. Mr. Manning was a member of the Sons of Norfolk Fraternal and Beneficial Association; Campbell Lodge No. 67 A.F. and A.M. and Alpha and Omega Consistory No. 9 He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Cherry A. Manning; a brother, Hunter Manning; a sister, Miss Grace Manning; two aunts, Mrs. Wilhelmina Ferguson, and Mrs. Susie Manning. Out of town guests attending the funeral were Hunter Manning and family, Mrs. Mary E. Pauling, Miss Lindona Dawley, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edwards, all of New York City.
