Virginian Pilot Tuesday August 1, 1905

Mrs. Emma Mansfield, wife of Capt. George W. Mansfield, died Sunday evening at 7 
o'clock after an illness of several months at her residence, 111 Virginia street.  
The deceased was born in Hertford, N.C., but had been a resident of this place for 
many years.  She was 44 years old and is survived by her husband, five sons, John, 
Samuel, George, William and Arthur Mansfield and two daughters, Ella and Emma 
Mansfield.
The funeral will be conducted from the residence this afternoon at 5 o'clock, Rev. 
W.H. Edwards, officiating.  The interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
