Virginian Pilot April 5, 1938

Mrs. Maria Trench Marable- Funeral services for Mrs. Marable, widow of William 
A. Marable, who died Sunday afternoon, were held at the residence, 511 
Boissevain Avenue, yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock, with the Rev. J.L. 
MacMillan, D.D., pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. There 
was a large attendance and many floral offerings. Burial was in Elmwood 
Cemetery. The Pallbearers were George B. Crow, George Bew, E.P. Crockett, R.M. 
Hughes, Jr., S.T. Northern, Dr. N. F. Rodman, J. Pearson Williams and T.M. 
Owens. The casket was covered with a pall of Easter lilies, smilax, baby’s 
breath and fern.
