Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, January 4, 1997 
Rosa Lee Marcus, of the 800 block of Tidewater Drive, died Jan. 2, 1997, in her
residence.

A retired domestic worker, Mrs. Marcus was a native of Lamar, S.C., and the
widow of Hammie T. Marcus. She was a member of Greater Metropolitan AME Church
and the stewardess and deaconess boards.

Survivors include her four daughters, Ophelia Marcus, Rosa Bell Marcus, Maggie
Allen and Louise Taylor, all of Norfolk; two sons, Clarence Sansbury and Willie
Marcus, both of Norfolk; two sisters, Azalee McLain and Lois Douglas, both of
Norfolk; brother, Ray Sansbury of Wilmington, N.C.; 16 grandchildren and 19
great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Greater Metropolitan AMEZ Church
by the Rev. G. Bernard Crawford. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends
may join the family at the residence. The body will be taken to the church at 10
a.m. There will be a wake service from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday in Graves Funeral Home
Chapel.
