Mrs. Catherine Flaherty Mariner, age 74, widow of John Mariner and daughter of 
John and Mrs. Bridgett Flaherty, a native of Ireland and a resident of this 
section for many years, died at 5 o’clock yesterday morning at the residence, 120 
Shelton avenue, Fox Hall. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John L. Correia; 
two grandchildren, Miss Mary Virginia Correia and John Mariner Correia, of Fox 
Hall, and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Fay, of Newport News. The body will be taken from 
the residence to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for funeral services Monday morning at 
10 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
